Our Story
My name is Betty Ruth Beamon, daughter of the Late Actor, Brance HueMiller and Annie Beamon. I am Founder, PRESIDENT/CEO of Beamon Records and Publishing - BMI. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, aka known as Motown. I attended Detroit Public School system, MacDowell and Samuel C. Mumford High, which was featured in Beverly Hills Cop. I am a native born "Mississippi girl" as Faith Hill would say. Around 2003 0r 2004 I was appointed to the National Republican Congressional Committee Business Advisory Board State of Tennessee by Tom DeLay and I was invited to the White House by President Bush, I was honored with a women of the year achievement Certificate Award, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times which advertised my Company, Beamon Records.
Nashville, Tennessee
When I first came to Nashville I was invited to a large Formal Dinner/Event, at Belmont University, there were Entertainment lots of Companies and people there, President/CEO of Record Companies from around the world, US and International. I have resided here in Nashville, Tennessee aka The Bible Belt for nearly 21 years. I am a country songwriter/singer. I also write R&B and GospeI. I consider myself very blessed, for I received my first royalty check, with other checks following for the Song Titled 'Horse To The Water' AKA "Girl Stay Away From My Man" in 2005. So, I am classified, country. I met Mrs. Frances Preston, Eddie and Thomas Caine who were Friends of mine.

I was always inspired by my dad, he would always listen to Jazz and sing a lot of B.B King, Jimmie Reed, blues and play guitar or the piano. there were always jam sessions at our home on the weekends. all the young musicians would bring their instruments over to play music with my dad. My dad would always dance with me and ask me to sing the blues for him. I would sing him songs by Ruth Brown, Dinah Washington, Bessie Smith and ,many others. Other close friends of mine were the late, Teddy Harris, Marcus Belgraves, I met them years ago when I would hang out at Berts, in downtown Detroit Michigan, and Bakers Keyboard Lounge on Livernois Avenue Other close friends of mine are Michael Henderson, Michael is from YaZoo, Mississippi. I booked Michael and Jean Carne in Hermitage, Tennessee at LakeShores. I just talked o Michael 3 weeks ago, he was performing at a concert in Atlanta Georgia. Can't forget my cousin Al Turner Bass Guitarist and music Director for Earl Klugh both are classmate from Samuel C. Mumford High as well.
R&B,MotownI grew up on 8 Mile Road Eminem's famous song "8 Mile", which was located, just around the corner from Berry Gordy, Marvin Gaye Aretha Franklin, and David Ruffin. David Ruffin, would pick up a classmate of mine by the name of Esther in his Rolls Royce. The Late, Larry Smith (Godfather), Martha Reeves and her Manager Ace. Among other friends were Gino Washington, Jackie Wilson Jr., his sister Brenda, Richard, lead singer of "The Cool Jerk" The Late Johnnie Taylor,and his drummer ole Benny who is from Mississippi as well, and Bobby Blue Bland, they performed a lot for the policeman ball in Knoxville, TN and at the Athena in Detroit, Michigan.

Attending Mumford High School were the Clark Sisters, The Winans. Now Fred Hammond, Commission and Byron Cage, we roller skated and attended same P.A.W Church. basically all the neighborhoods were somewhat connected, they were so close by. My love goes out to Bob Dylan, he signed my year book.

When I went home to Mississippi, a couple of years ago, I met and had a long chat with Harvey, one of the canton spirituals, About 5 years ago I met The William Brothers. I did get to see my cousin, Rudy Brown, Rudy is with the Gospel Group,The Long Beach Southernairs out of California. I met Tommy Couch Jr, in 2004 in Jackson, Mississippi. another friend i would chat with was Country Comedian, Jerry Clower who was from YaZoo, Mississippi.

I booked Cash Money: Lil Wayne, Lil B.G and Juvenile here in the state of TN. Black/8ball & MJG, Wax-A-Million and I use to converse quite frequently. I dealt with Jeff from Universal Records
Country
I hung out with Jamey Johnson whose mom was from Mississippi, Ernie McCoy from Clinton, Mississippi, Production Company known asThe Reel McCoy, Ernie is a producer and videographer, Doug Stone's keyboard player, Ms, Lisa Zangh who is great on the Guitar, Lisa is a Lead Country, Singer. Other friends in Tennessee consisted of John A (Nashville Palace) and (John A's) that's where we all hung out singing country music, Mrs. Jeanie Seely (Hee Haw), who lived around corner from me on Mount Olivet Road, Hendersonville, Tennessee, (wife of Hank Cochran) from "Hee Haw". I use to drive to Latimere Lane, and hang around the horses., I met Ronnie McDonald and someone else I cant remember. I'll always love horses, because we had race horses and quarter horses on our farm in Mississippi. I met RonnieMcDonald.
I met little Jimmie Dickens. Actor, George Buck form "Law and Order" was a very close friend of mine.
Bill Anderson, with WSM, Jack Green, Mel Tillis, Barbara, (Printers Alley and The Preston Hotel). I was in Michael Peterson Video shoot on the West End "You're in Trouble when the Bartender Cries". I was in another video shoot around the same time, in downtown Nashville, all Country Singers were steppig out of limousines. I believe it was for the Dove Awards. I met face to face, with Reba McIntire, Wynonna Judd, Terri Clarke, Sawyer Brown, Neal McCoy and Travis Tritt, there were many others as well, I attended a concert where Alan Jackson performed, While there I met Alan, wife Denise, and his mom.
BlueGrass - Tennessee
I lived with Colonel Jack D. Lynch. WhiIe living with Jack, I met cousins, Rev Joe Issacc, Dr. Ralph Stanley West, Virginia.they were from Red Lick, Kentucky. I met Jimmy Martin, Jimmy's son Ray who played on the Opry amd his family through Jack as well. Another friend is Marty Stewart, we use to hang at Barbara's in Printer's Alley back in the day. Marty is from Philadelphia, Mississippi, which is only 30 minutes away from my hometown. Periodically, I see Marty when he's back home in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
COMEDIAN Eddie Griffin, his dad would bring them form Kansas, City to Detroit, Michigan to visit us on 8 Mile Road.
